Elementary and middle school
"Kompetansemål etter 7. trinn: Eleven skal kunne fotografere og manipulere bilder digitalt og reflektere over bruk av motiv og utsnitt"
- Kunnskapsløftet
We have broad offerings designed for school classes. All such offerings are free of charge.
If you would like your school to make use of our offerings through Den kulturelle skolesekken (The Cultural Rucksack) so that transportation is also free of charge, please contact the coordinator of DKS in your municipality.
Preus Museum is the national museum of photography, and throughout the year we have varying exhibitions that reveal the different aspects of photography. When school classes visit we use the exhibitions to discover relevant angles of vision for the students. We employ dialog-based interpretation and hope that the students will have an excellent time using their own experience to acquire new knowledge.
The exhibitions change approximately three times a year. In addition we have a permanent exhibition, "The History of Photography," that traces the development of technology, esthetics, and practice.
